The Travel Makeup Packing Guide
August 1, 2026 · 3 min read
What to pack, what to leave and how to keep a full kit organised in one bag.

One bag, three zones
Divide your case into base, colour and tools. Adjustable dividers make this easy, and it means you can find a single product without unpacking everything.
Multi-use wins
A cream blush that doubles as lip colour, a lip liner that works as a base, a sealing spray that also refreshes. Every product should earn its space twice.
Protect the breakables
Palettes travel best flat with a cotton pad laid inside to absorb shock. Brushes go bristles-up in a sleeve, never loose.
Light where you land
Hotel bathrooms are the enemy of good blending. A lit mirror in your case is the single biggest upgrade to travel makeup.
Cabin rules
Keep liquids under 100ml in a clear pouch at the top of the bag so security checks do not undo your packing.
